I own both a Voice Me V1 and an AmuletDevices remote control (I'm a bit of a speech recognition nut). and I can tell you that after much use of both devices that the VoiceMe
is nowhere near as good as my AmuletRemote. They are two different things , the VoiceMe
simply sends IR buttons in response to your voice, most of the time it's just easier to press a button. It cant do complicated things like the Amulet such as when I'm watching recorded tv, I like to say "skip over ads" when it gets to the commercials, or make a
dynamic playlist of all an artists songs just by saying "play artist Ne Yo". or if I'm watching a movie and want to skip back to a time I can say "skip to 4 minutes and twenty six seconds" and there I am, you can't do anything like that with a VoiceMe because a VoiceMe
does it's speech recognition on the remote itself in a memory and power constrained
chip, it has no visibility of the names of artists or songs or movies etc.
The VoiceMe now sells for £199 and I got my Amulet at $199 = £126,
