I've recently been giving some thought to something I call a DLNA Speech Enabled Controller,
Imagine a software application that would sit on a PC on your LAN , it would have speech recognition capability and receive voice input from anywhere in the house over a radio link courtesy of an Amulet remote (or maybe a wearable device), it would find content on any DLNA media controller type devices on the network, and enable its playback on any DLNA media renderer devices on the network.
What would you think of such a device ?

Amuletremote + VoxCommando go in that direction. Combined with an additional software like EventGhost not really a problem, it works

look at www.voxcommando.com

I'm thinking of something that would be very integrated and generic,
when you start it up it would find all the mediaserver devices then it would aggregate
all that media and voice enable it, then it would find all the media renderer devices
available. Finally it would let you select a default render device with voice.
(it would also allow remapping of device names to voice friendly names).

This would allow scenarios such as
"play genre easylisting to sitting room"
"play genre rock to kitchen" etc
