Hi,

I was wondering, how does this remote handle other devices (TV, DVD, etc)? Are there codes? I don't see any device buttons.

I need to control an Onkyo receiver, a Roku, a Blue Ray player and MCE.

Thanks

The Amulet remote uses IR learning to handle codes from other devices; it doesn't have any preprogrammed codes other than for MCE.

The Red, Green, Yellow, Blue buttons on the bottom row double up as device selection buttons. Normally, the remote is in MCE mode. Pressing one of those four buttons activates one of the other four keymaps, which then remains in force until the next time the MCE Green Start Button is pressed.

By default, all four keymaps are also programmed to MCE, so you can reprogram as few or many buttons in each keymap as you wish, retaining convenient MCE buttons like Play/Pause on all keymaps for example.

In addition to all this, you can reprogram the Volume, TV Power, and MusicNote buttons on the main MCE keymap to control a different device, and when you do so, the new codes will appear (punch through) on the other four device-specific keymaps also, unless you override them on each keymap.

This page has some more information about programming the Amulet:

www.amuletdevices.com/index.php/Voice-Remote/

and you can also find more details in the full user manual, available here:

www.amuletdevices.com/index.php/Product/downloads.html

Incidentally, a couple of users have reported some problems learning codes from Onkyo equipment, something we're looking into at the moment. The other devices you mentioned should be fine.
