I just purchased the amulet remote for my son who is quadriplegic, and I think I may have purchased the wrong item. He does not have a Windows Media Center, but needs to program a voice-activated remote for his Visio televisions. If this is the wrong remote, does any one have suggestions as to where one may be purchased?

I believe that indeed the Amulet remote may be the wrong purchase for your particular situation, not having a Media Center Personal Computer hooked up to your Television.

Although I believe the Amulet company has plans to have their remotes work with a line of set top boxes in the future, right now I don't believe they are on the market.

Windows Media center does have the ability to show live TV, and Amulet Voice
Remote can utilize this feature with their Remote Control using Voice Recognition.

However you are looking for something that doesn't involve a Computer.
