AMULET DEVICES NAMED CEA I-STAGE AWARD FINALIST

Dublin, Ireland, 9 October 2008 – Amulet Devices announced today that the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA®), the producer of the International CES®, has named it as an i-stage awards finalist. This debut technology event features the most innovative new consumer technology products that will soon come to market.

CEA’s i-stage award finalists will unveil their products before a live audience on Monday, October 20, at CEA’s 2008 Industry Forum, scheduled October 19-22, 2008, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

Amulet Devices has designed an innovative new voice-enabled remote control which allows easy access to all your digital media using spoken commands - for example, "Play Artist U2" starts playing music from U2, while "Watch Program Fair City" will start playing a recorded TV programme.

Together with 14 other finalists from around the globe, the company will have 10 minutes of stage time to demonstrate their product to the world's media and members of the Consumer Association of America. The winner will receive $50,000 to further develop its product line, as well as free turnkey exhibit space at the upcoming 2009 International CES®, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, to be held in Las Vegas on January 8-11.

CEO Garry McMullan commented, "We are delighted to have been chosen as a finalist, and we can't wait to show America how well voice works as an interface to all your digital media. There is some tough competition among the other entries, but we are confident we'll put on a good performance."

The i-stage finalists will have their products reviewed and judged on Monday, October 20, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas, by a panel of technology experts including Kevin Kelly, Wired Magazine; Ryan Block, formerly of Engadget and Jeff Pulver. Molly Wood, executive editor of CNET, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event.
