.M4V files (downloaded from iTunes, usually) aren't recognized by Scanner
Known issue in software version 2.17.50
Work-around is to rename them to have a .mp4 suffix.

Can't Play Movie error when selecting a movie by voice |

Storing video and movie files in the root level of a drive letter causes the media to index correctly but playback incorrectly (symptom is "can't play movie" error when selecting a movie by voice).
The easy fix is to move all such files into a sub-folder under the drive letter (Y:Movies, etc.).
Alternatively, a more complicated fix is to edit Amulet.ini to explicitly list folders to index, and add an extra backslash after any drive letters on their own (Y:\ instead of Y:), which then works fine. But it's also necessary to disable Scanxxx settings to stop Scanner automatically including the media center and shell folders.
